See the job board or have dicussions about the job in the job category here on discourse
Posting a job
- Go to Jobs - Submit a Job Don’t post directly via Discourse (aka the site you are on right now)
- Jobs must be related to work on a Free/Libre and Open Source project.
Responding to a job post
- Don’t use generic copy-pasted responses. If you are suspected of copy pasting responses to jobs then you will be warned 3 times and then permanently banned at the 4th attempt. You can appeal this by emailing core@opensourcedesign.net
- A suggestion to avoid copy-paste suspicion is to reference the name of the OSS project that posted the job in your forum response.
- Optional: We encourage you to introduce yourself in the Intro thread before responding to a job post.
Background Infos
- Update July 2024: Deleted the “browse Jobs” headline (was only useful when this was the landing post for the discourse-as-replacement job-board) and rename to “Guidelines on posting and responding to jobs” since both of these are covered here now (see June 2024)
- Update as of June 2024: we’ve implemented some rules for individuals responding to Job posts saying they want to work with them/contribute
- Update early 2024: The old job board is up again, so job posts are not created as a forum post anymore
We have/had a job board that we could post to via a form, but the job board is down at the moment, so posting the jobs here directly is our alternative until the form is fixed.
