Ura design team is working on redesigning the HTTPS Everywhere extension (https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere).
HTTPS Everywhere is an extension created by EFF and the Tor Project which automatically switches sites from insecure “http” to secure “https”. It protects against many forms of surveillance and account hijacking, and some forms of censorship.
We aim to make this tool more user friendly, specially for new users. In order to do that we need to get to know the users and their perception of this tool. We created a short survey to help us on this.
We would greatly appreciate your time and effort on filling out our survey! https://oasis.sandstorm.io/shared/0k_nboV6RmO8ebQAAdG9rMvrQj4g5orp5mNJUaXDEeH
I’ve fixed the URLs on your post (since the links where not working).
I didn’t understood why you run the survey here, since I’m surely not an user of the extension, but I’ve completed the survey. I find it nicely done, good questions. I’m curious about the progress of this redesign, so good luck with that
The targeted users for this survey are mainly people who haven’t used the extension before. We want to see how they perceive it and what do they expect it to do for them, since we noticed a lot of misconceptions in regards to extensions functionality.
So, your feedback as new users is actually very helpful
@evalica Yes, I’ll make sure to update on the redesign process.
I am a longish term user of this extension. I have never realized it come into action for me, but I think it does its job in the background and it is designed to be unobtrusive (which is kind of what I want it to do).
For really sensitive things I still tend to manually ensure things are how they are supposed to be.
