Hi everyone,
I have an update on this years FOSS Backstage Design:
We will kick off the event with three hand-picked talks, followed by lunch and a barcamp in the afternoon.
We are super excited to have Marta Marczykowska-Górecka, UX lead for Qubes OS, as a speaker. She will tell us in her talk “Beyond Looking Good: How To Talk To Developers About Design”.
Additionally, Martin Keary, VP of Product at Muse, will share his insides on UX Design. At Muse he has been responsible for the Open Source application MuseScore, the most popular software for musical notation, as well as the well-known open source audio editor Audacity.
Our third talk will be announced soon. Follow FOSS Backstage Design on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to not miss the announcement.
At the barcamp everyone is invited to bring their session ideas. After a short round of session pitches, the most popular proposals will be put onto the schedule.
You can get an idea of the topics others might bring to the barcamp by checking out the recordings from last years conference.
Tickets for FOSS Backstage Design are available from our website. Get yours before March 5th while standard tickets are available.
On March 10 and 11 FOSS Backstage, our conference for all non-technical aspects of Open Source Software takes place. If you want to join both events we recommend to get your tickets from the FOSS Backstage ticket shop in order to benefit from a discounted price.
FOSS Backstage Design is looking for Partners who would like to help us make this event possible. Everyone who is interested in becoming a sponsor, media or event partner, please reach out to us. We have solutions for every budget and goal.
If you want to support us in a different way, you can by spreading the word on FOSS Backstage Design e.g. by sharing a Mastodon or LinkedIn post.
We hope to see many from the Open Source Design Community in Berlin!
Best,
Alex
