Collaboration as a developer on Nextcloud modification

Hello, a Nextcloud modification which enables using OTP (One-Time Passcode) when sharing via email was introduced. However, it is still work in progress and therefore it is up to you to bring it to suitable level.

If HTML/CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Vue3 (also configuration for compilation), etc. is something you know about and/or are willing to learn and dedicate your time to this as a developer, then reply here or send PM to be added as a collaborator.

Sponsorship of this can be discussed and they can receive publication for their brand, etc. as a sponsor in such a case. However, currently due to unavailable funding it is without compensation and therefore can be done in a reasonably flexible way whenever you have some spare time for this and of course you will not be rushed regarding this. At the same time it is all within fair level of responsible collaboration.

You have to access it via your user because access is limited, but it is open to the public. More about Forgejo permissions for clarity:

It is for developer, but it is quite common for Web Designers to also know HTML/CSS and JavaScript which might be sufficient for those willing to learn more in this case. It is about working on UI using Nextcloud UI Kit:

Hi @modslv , as @jdittrich already said, it is best if you post this as an actual job through the job form at Jobs - Submit a Job

This will automatically create a job posting on both the website and here on the forum in the “jobs” category for better visibility. So no need to manually open topics for jobs. :slight_smile:

Thanks for linking the job posting, as I missed it.

I agree with @Erioldoesdesign that it is not quite fitting as it only talks about dev-related things and not design. (The other post you referred to clearly needs design knowledge as a main thing, even if frontend or other website stack elements are needed.

I would recommend 2 things:

  • If it is really also about design, reword your job posting accordingly
  • Or if it is indeed mostly about development help, the best place to post about it is in the Nextcloud development category over in their forum: 💻 Development - Nextcloud community
