Hi @alexeriks23 thanks for your contribution! This thread is about what Open Source Design, the community to which this forum belongs, should focus on. It is not what open source design as in design activities in open source projects should do. It is confusing that the activity and the community are named the same!

I think both positions are not mutually exclusive.
There is a need to discuss the OSD community, of course, and this is what this forum has been doing so far.
But, from my understanding, the OSD was made to discuss and promote the open source design and connect designers and developers: OSD goals.
Maybe the next meeting, this should be part of the agenda, we could count with @nikola 's presence?

I think there is a lot that can be done in terms of getting more open source software teams aware of these forums.
I think to help build community involvement there can be a better job board management. Which I believe we have a topic on this already.
But I think if the job board is stronger and allows to track who has done how many projects, it can allow for some of us, who want a chance to get in, but haven’t, to be highlighted. “This user is open to OSS roles, but has yet to get a project.” Something like this.
OR -
If there was a more controlled way on jobs. Maybe we put details in our profile, tags, types of roles, responsibilities etc., A moderation team can then reach out to people who have been active in last X days, to see if they are interested in the project. This way that team can ensure different people get different chances, but to get job offers, you also should be active in the community. Almost like a community recruiting agency.
Just some crazy ideas I thought I would share.
