You can achieve that using any design tool - Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, Corel draw etc. With each portion of the layout grouped together as custom files.
I’d rather promote open source solutions in this ‘Open Source Design’ forum. So instead of the software you mention that would be Inkscape, GIMP, Krita & Scribus.
For a flier where all graphics already are ready then Scribus would be a suitable solution. Of course for simple things LibreOffice is also fine.
Any project using a proprietary file format cannot really be opensource.
Hey Duncan - while I personally agree that the preference is to use OSS tools to create design work I think every designer is on their own journey to using more OSS tools to make design work and while adobe etc. are not open source tools they are still what is ‘design industry standard’ so exceedingly hard to move away from.
I just want to ensure we’re helping designers that are very new to OSS understand and feel supported and valued even though they may still use proprietary tools
