FOSS Backstage (4-6th of March 2024) had its own design track/day. You can watch all talks at the [Youtube playlist of the track](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtdLcElTauk&list=PLq-odUc2x7i8P3s8rUBURj0fXwKsxQb9k).

There were also several UX talks at the main event:

- Scott on [Size matters: Why some projects can’t do UX well](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLmXlhJMQmM)
- Katie on [A UX Toolbox for Usability, Accessibility, and Security](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLuUmWw-Xbk)
- Jan (me) on [Why UX and FOSS clash and what we can do about it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iB4480I9w8)
- Eriol Fox & Nimisha Vijay on [The secret lives of designers in OSS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAQgzLbra0A&t)

Do you have any favorite talks? Comments? Develop ideas further?

For those that were there, I’d appreciate any comments on the talks, what did you like, what could have been improved? This was a ‘first prototype’ of the design day and I’d like us to discuss ways we could have improved it.
